Chicago Open Air Festival 2016

One of America's great cities was made just a little bit greater on July 15th, 16th and 17th as the Chicago Open Air Festival thrilled more than 75,000 fans at Toyota Park. For me the highlights knew no age limits as Five Finger Death Punch welcomed a young girl, still in the single digits onto the massive stage to help sing "The Bleeding" and Drowning Pool connected with 82 year old America's Got Talent contestant John Hetlinger who joined them on stage to attack the song "Bodies".

I also had a moment between interviews and back-stage activities to watch Nothing More. I remember soaking in a few songs and thinking "This might be my favorite band since Tool, some 20 years ago".

Here are some of the interviews, photos and experiences; enjoy. – Steve Black
