2020 marks 30 years on the radio for me, 28 of those in Detroit (17 at WRIF). I’ve also had a hand in programming at multiple stations and in syndication for more than 20 years.
Some of the crazy benchmarks we have passed include:
I have now written and produced more than 2,300 shows and specials in syndication that have aired on more than 170 radio stations across the United States.
My career total for interviews with a variety of bands and musicians is now over 1550.
I released my first book in 2014 From Black To Light. My true life story of love, adventure, music, cancer, death, despair, tragedy, and triumph while interacting with rock and roll royalty.
In 2017 I became the co-host on The Sound Of… A weekly music-talk podcast combining the 62 years of on-air radio experience of myself and co-host Anne Carlini. I was also named one of the Podcasting Captains for Beasley Media Group.
Finally I sit on the Board of Directors for Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit and have helped to raise just over $140,000 dollars for cancer patients in the Detroit Metro area.
